Assessment for Learning
Details
This session will explore the use of digital tools to enable Assessment for Learning rather than Assessment of Learning. We will consider the importance of assessment and feedback from a theoretical standpoint before moving on to some practical applications with technology. It will explore a range of curriculum design models (including student blogging) and the roles of both formative and summative feedback within this. As part of this, participants will be invited to plan and consider a new approach to assessment using some of the digital tools outlined. This is an interactive session, which will invite participants to consider their own assessment structures and how they may be improved to better support learning.
