The role of mobile phones in the changing classroom

Detail

The traditional classroom is dead? Long live the classroom? The proliferation of mobile devices into the classroom is now like the genie being out of the bottle. You can try, but you can't put it back. Does that mean you should fight the students on their desire to be connected? This session will suggest a few ways in which you can put the devices to another use and understand the student perspective of digital multi-tasking. Using Nearpod I will get you to interact with the session and see how you can easily transfer your current materials into the environment, or start from scratch and build a full Nearpod lesson. What traditional values hold true in the modern classroom as we attempt to adapt our pedagogic understanding of the role of technology in the modern University. For the basic interactions of the presentation any personal or Sticky campus roadshow device will be perfect to help you engage with the session.
